|U.S. WW1 Army Cartridge Belt|
U.S. WW1 Army 10 pocket cartridge belt. No charger retaining straps. Worn and used condition belt with old repairs and that is named on inside of belt. Marker marked by Mills and dated under front flaps. A classic piece of army soldier gear.
Charger retaining straps were used on pockets of pre-1917 production and deleted in 1917. However, they were re-introducted on the M1923 belts and again were deleted by the end of WW2. The strap was utilized to prevent the loss of the front charger when the rear one was being removed for use.
