|U.S. Bronze Star Cased|
U.S. Bronze Star in in "coffin" style medal case. Bronze star has crimped broach indicating this was most likely a Korea or Vietnam era issued Bronze Star. This one has the enameled label button (typically missing on these) and the ribbon bar. Overall good condition.
Additional Notes: For American medal cases, the U.S. "coffin" style boxes were ww2 produced. However, the "coffin" style boxes were used right up to and through the Vietnam conflict as supplies of the medal boxes were used up (so you can find WW2, Korea, and Vietnam era medals in this style of case). Next, clear plastic boxes were used in the 1950's and 60s (typically you see Vietnam era medals in these cases). The clear plastic cases were followed up by the blue grained texture boxes with the metal rims which were utilized in the 1970's.
